About batterby house
Batterby House, at 251 Allen Street, is a Victorian in the Queen Anne style. Built in 1900, it was designed by architect M.J. O'Connor as a rectory. It subsequently served as a convent for the sisters of St. Mary's Academy. The house features beautiful parquet floors throughout, leaded glass, stained glass, an imposing mahogany stairway, five fireplaces, pocket-doors, 10-foot ceilings and even the original wooden ice boxes in the basement.

This bright and sunny room is decorated with a queen-sized Louis Phillipe cherry-wood sleigh bed, linen bedding and a Beautyrest Black ultra plush pillow top mattress. The bathroom has beautiful parquet floors, a modern vanity and shower (no bathtub).

This room features a king-sized bed with linen bedding and a Beautyrest Black ultra plush pillow top mattress; and a large bathroom with claw-foot tub, pedestal sink and hand painted dressing table.

This room offers a Queen-size bed with linen bedding and a Beautyrest Black ultra plush pillow top mattress, parquet floors, as well as a large private bath with clawfoot tub. A unique feature is the private deck; you may have the smallest bedroom but this is the only room in the house with your very own private outdoor space!
A two-night minimum is required for holiday weekends and all weekends from April through November
A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days of scheduled arrival will be charged 50%. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to check-in will be charged for the full reservation.
Check-in time is 3 pm. Check-out time is 11 am. Specific arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis regarding check-in and check-out depending upon room availability. Luggage check prior to check-in or after check-out can also be accommodated.
Rates are based on double occupancy and are subject to 8% New York state sales tax and 4% Hudson City lodging tax. Third parties included in a room will be charged $15 per night for children ages 10-17; $25 per night for individuals aged 18 and over.
